Juneau Whale Watching: Choosing a Tour Format

There are two main ways to whale-watch from Juneau.

Boat only

Most time on the water. The Ultimate Juneau Whale Watch is about 3 hours with about 2 on the water. The Juneau Whale Watching Cruise gives you 3 hours on the water; note that it can't be refunded.

Whales plus Mendenhall Glacier

One trip, two sights. The Mendenhall Glacier & Whale Watching Tour takes about 4.5 hours. The Mendenhall Glacier Waterfall & Whale Watching Tour takes about 5.5 hours and gives more time at the glacier.

Glaciers only

The Mendenhall Glacier & Juneau Highlights Small-Group Tour is a small-group drive. The Tracy Arm–Fords Terror Glacier Explorer is a full day by boat.
